History and Archaeology Section of the Museum "Oltenia" in Craiova

The building was designed at the request of Madona Dudu, for the purpose to be used as a girls' school and operates as such until 1948, considered as one of the most prestigious schools in Romania. The building was designed by the architect Thoma Dobresku in 1905. Other buildings designed by him and located in Craiova are: Minerva casino and the main body of the College of Carol I.

In the period 2011 to 2013, the building is in a process of restoration and conservation and is closed to the public.
