„Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary“ Church, Berkovitsa
Church is a contemporary of the Bulgarian Renaissance, a center of boys and girls school, spiritual source of people from Berkovitsa. It was rebuilt in 1843. The iconostasis is made by a woodcarver from Samokov. The icons are painted by Dimitar Zograph. They can be ranked among the best created in the country during the Renaissance. The bell tower was built in 1897. The bells in it are two, made in 1845 in Budapest and later given to the church by the mason's guild.
