Climate and water

The climate in Vidin region is temperate-continental with relatively cold winter and hot summer. The average annual temperature is 11, 2°С. The hottest month is July with average temperature 23.1°С, and the coldest is January with average temperature 1,7°С. Rainfalls are relatively well distributed over the seasons, as in the lowers part of the region these are about 550-600 mm/m2, and in the higher parts they reach up to 750 mm/m2.

The area has no significant water resources - rivers that run through it are Archar, Topolovets and others, but they are small and have no economic significance. Mineral water is in the village of Slanotran but not developed yet.
